My son, Thomas asked me to check out a book that he left on my desk.

Before leaving for the park for my 1 mile walk and meditation, I grabbed the book.

A Client shared with me that they were struggling with anxiety. 

For them to ask somebody to go out on a date, they needed the opinion of a 2^ndor 3^rdperson to confirm that they made the right move. 

They needed the approval from an external source to validate their desire. 

Intellectually, the person was able to acknowledge their own qualities,

The Pause

I did it … 

for a long time I divided my focus on counseling/mentoring and photography… trying to build a business with both. It became more complicated, I tried network marketing for a series of products that I believe in.

My son, Thomas kept asking me “… how fast does the merry go round spin?”

He felt I was going in circles and my energies were being spread out to thin.

Snooze ~ Alarm ~ Lost in Sauce ~ Know you are the Cook

This morning I noticed a very inspiring message that my son Thomas had written and will share it with you ... let me know your thoughts ...

Morning Reflection:

Fascinating how we have a "Snooze" button on our alarm in the morning!

We have the option to hit the "snooze" button for a "moment" of "extra" sleep/rest and yet the very device that we chose to set is called an "Alarm."

Hmmmmm.....Irony?!?

The Wind and the Upside-down Sicilians

At the Humorous Toastmasters meeting, I gave a speech on My encounter with the Wind and 2 upside-down Sicilians.

It had humor and some serious thoughts as well

Have you ever had a day or a week

when the winds of change are blowing –

when you seem to be turning upside down.

Your world becomes topsy turvey.

You enter a state of Upsidedownness

I had such a week.

Night of Humor

My friend Marc Williams, delivering a version of his award winning talk about developing self-confidence at the Humorous Toastmasters Meeting on Wednesday 07/11/19. As usual his presentation was inspiring. He shared how he overcame his lack of self-confidence. His talk was spiced with different humorous antedotes.

At our meeting, I also gave my talk on dealing with being in a state of "Upsidedownness, my encounter with  the wind and with two upside-down Sicilians."

A Quantum perspective in helping a person heal

My graduate school professor in the 1970’s made an interesting observation. He indicated that physics was changing its focus. 

True Independence

Independence 

May we learn from these great swimmers and creatures who can fly, independence.

May the Mother, Father and community help the "newbies" to develop themselves and their special talents. 

May the parents teach them the negatives of Freud's Ego-Ideal. 

May the young creatures learn to value themselves  from the inside and have the courage to be who they are whether society approves or not. 

With independence may the young soar and fly beyond societies fears and wish for conformity.

Table Topics ~ I am the Wind

At a Humorous Toastmaster Meeting, I was selected for Table Topics. The Topic for the two-minute presentation was “what would you be that can be connected to June?”

I went to the front of the room and said, “The Wind.” I would be the Wind.
