To Float the cork or Hold it down

As a Human Being that is powered by Spirit,
I believe you and I are artists ...
Two quotes come together for me today,
the first from Abraham-Hicks. As a spirit in human form, Abraham talks about us as having passion and desires. They use the analogy of a cork for our desires and passions. I find it interesting that unless we, ourself, hold down our cork, our passions and desires will always pop up.

"You cannot really disconnect yourself from the passionate desirous being that you are ...
when you try to hold your desire down, it keeps coming up ...
Your cork will always float unless you are holding it down."

--- Abraham Excerpted from Silver Spring, MD - April 19th, 1997 http://www.abraham-hicks.com

I believe passion and desire and being an artist are very much a part of all of us.  Not all of us activate the artist dynamic of ourselves. According to dictionary, being an artist contains these qualities: someone who uses their skills to create; someone who studies and practices their skill; a person who conveys a sense of beauty, a deeper reality. Mark Getlein talks about art as giving “...tangible form to the unknown .. tangible form to feelings.”(1).

Are you ready to connect with yourself as an artist?
A quote from Robert Rodriquez Jr’s blog gives some great advice(2).

“Don’t try to be an artist all at once, be very much of a student. Be always searching, .... Always be looking for the unexpected in nature—you can have no formulas for anything; search constantly.”Charles W Hawthorne (Hawthorne on Painting) from Robert Rodriquez Jr. blog

Let me know how you practice your creative work as an artist
