Photographing "Playing Chekov"

Last night, I photographed the premiere "Playing Chekov," at the Wild Project in the East Village, for the director and sponsors of the acting group. The play was in Russin with English subtitles. The Lighting was challenging. Careful Spot metering,
Quality fast glass (lens), and  a camera capable of handling high ISO speed made a big difference. I photographed the entire play in color ... this is a long way from the days when I shot performances with black & white Tri-X film pushed to triple it's speed (ASA 1200). I used ISO speeds from 1,000 to 6,000.
The increase in ISO speeds enabled me to handle motion and depth of focus.
