Temple's mother had the courage to think outside the box, care about her daughter and lovingly encourage her. The relationship between Temple and her mother, helped Temple surpass the obstacle of autism, and the limitations of societal wisdom, labeling and scarcity mentality. In surpassing these obstacles, Temple is leading a productive life.
Temple Grandin, with the love, faith and persistence of her mother went on to obtain a Phd and establish a career helping animals.
