Today, March 17th is St Patricks Day. Some of our friends had a chance to celebrate St Patricks on last Saturday.
What are your plans for St Patricks day …
Do you know why we are celebrating St Patricks life?
Patrick was born in Britain,
Going to Ireland made him an immigrant
Not only was he an immigrant but he was also a trouble maker?
Or a person who didn’t know his purpose? Who wasn’t sure of his abilities to actually do what his purpose might be? His dilemma of figuring out what he needed to do, probably caused him a lot of anxiety and tension. The Irish at the time did no roll out the welcome wagon for him. Initially, He endured slavery and abuse. Eventually he accepted his mission to spread the word about Jesus’ teaching.
Through the slow development and uncertainty he was open to searching for his mission and living it. When we live our life even with uncertainty, we deflect the wasted energy of anxiety and worry.
Crossing the anxiety line (wall) enabled him to
Embrace his mission.
As he grew he developed relationships with the Irish people and modeled the qualities of Jesus. His mission became taking care of the Irish. In a way he guided them to their purpose in life.
He had to go through a lot of rough bumps and to reach his missiont.
Hats off to St Patrick
For not letting anxiety and worry prevent him from searching for his mission.
For stepping beyond the anxiety wall and living his mission.
