"Sunday Morning, the Question, the Journey"

On Monday (2/4/13) evening, I presented my speech  "Sunday Morning, the Question, the Journey" at the Leadership Roundtable Toastmasters International Contest Meeting. I was awarded 1st Place and will go on to the District International Contest.

I spoke about my dilemma of choosing between my two passions: - Photography, capturing the emotional energy of a person, event, a scene, or creating art (abstract colors); Healing - helping a person use their emotional energies to heal from the pain they are experiencing or helping them make choices to rediscover their purpose and move toward their happiness.

I used my experience, learning and photographs to demonstrate the need to find beauty wherever we are, stop and admire the beauty for a few moments in order to put our thinking and feeling energies in a good feeling place. I have found that being in a good feeling place, regardless of whatever is stressing us, is a prerequisite to heal, to make meaningful change.

I have combined my talents and realized that I am a "Healing Photographer."  I will share my passions

• in motivational speaking to Civic, Religious, and Corporate groups, to help their members move toward their bliss and achieve their goals.
• in creating photographic books (with my poems)* and quality photographic prints to enable people to refocus on beauty and refresh themselves.
• Individual Consultation, when a person gets stuck and needs some positive feedback.

My book Flashes of Light was launched yesterday to rave reviews.

Everyone who saw the photos were amazed by the beauty and energy

Emotional Energy and Photography

Last Monday, I was invited to return to the Mel Berkowitz show.

New Year's Emotional Energy Thought

New Years celebration follows, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah (festival of lights commemorating the rededication of the Temple), The Birth of Jesus (Christmas). As we meditate on the experiences of 2012 and look forward to the new experiences of 2013, what is our perspective.
Many items in the news focus on tragedies and things that are not working well. I would like to suggest that whatever happened in 2012, everything can be created in a positive expanding way for 2013. We cannot stop the clock, we cannot remain exactly the same.

As Abraham states
"... Your expansion is constant. Keeping up with it is optional." (Abraham-Hicks)

As the lights of Hanukkah increase, illuminating our path, as the radical teaching of Jesus to acknowledge Source Emotional Energy (God) and to love ourselves and our neighbors as ourselves, they point the way for our journey.

I would suggest that to maximise the positive expansion of  our journey,  let us take 5, 10, 15 minutes each day to focus our energy through breathing meditation, to connect with our spirit, our Source (God. Allah, Yahweh) and to rededicate ourselves to allowing, to growth, to Freedom, to Joy, and To creating positive experiences for ourselves and for those within our circles.

As Abraham states expansion will continue but it is our choice whether we use it positively or try to deny or contain it.

Gray, flat

Colorless

Cool, wet

Rambling

So flat

Dull

Observing, looking

Color emerging

Browns, branches

Clear, water

Reflections

A leaf or two

Deep reds, greens

Light greens, yellows

Round, crowns

Branches, drops

The particular expanded

Mirrored in the pond

Hidden gems

Color amid flat gray

Easy to see the dull

The flat

Routine

Lifeless, boring

Patterns, textures the leaf

Reflections, the larger image

Do we see

Do we pass by

Experience

The bland, the dull

Color – shapes – patterns

Life offers both

On which do we dwell
