November 11th a day of service ... a day of both

November 11th a day to remember

It certainly a day to remember men and women who gave genously to protect our country.

Many gave Their life to serve others. When looking at the instruments of war and the horrible consequences of these instruments, it is important to remember the people who put themselves in the path of these instruments to stop the horrible behavior of people who were abusive on a world scale.

I have a  2nd reason to remember November 11th.

It is the Birthday of Cecilia who was my wife for 31 years. She gave generously of her love and dedication to me and my son Thomas.

She supported me in my graduate studies  ,,, two intense years at Fordham. She opened the door to a great relationship with my favorite aunt. … Aunt Madeline. She carried my son for 9 months of her pregnancy. Interestingly she delivered my son @ 11:30 in the morning just in time for lunch.

She was a nurse and a nurse administrator who guided those under her care. She helped her family in the Philippines. Cecilia is a woman totally dedicated to care for and serve those under her professional nursing duties, and caring for the family. She and I helped my son with his college studies and supported his leadership while on campus.

One wintery night, she and I drove thru a snow blizzard (both directions) to get my son back to college in Pennsylvania.

Thomas and I remember your love and dedication to us on the anniversary of your birth.

Enjoy life in the spiritual dimension
