The path to healing is to

  1. Create a safe space to allow the person to visualize the painful experience,
  2. Allow the person not possess the pain, not own it, but to see the pain so that they can say without guilt that they do not like it. This will allow the person to release the pain. Ultimately
    1. On a spiritual level the pain can be dissolved.
  3. Allow themself to reclaim their emotional energy from the person / event that caused the pain
  4. Once they have reclaimed their emotional energy they can redirect their emotional energy and use it to pursue their talents and gifts of creating and relating in a joyful emotional state.
  5. A healing group can facilitate the passage of a person who wants to heal and regain their center
    1. an untrained friend might be tempted to offer intellectual feedback but this will not be helpful to the person in pain. The Support Group will allow the person to express their experience and provide emotional support for the person to redirect themselves and move past the trauma.
  6. Breathing meditation is also a tool to help a person get in touch with their own essence which is pure, blessed and gifted
    1. From my perspective it is the best way to validate yourself.
  7. Breathing meditation connects a person with two voices
    1. The first voice is their own pure essence, untarnished by the patterns that might have created a dissonance in their life and created a detour for the person
    2. The second voice is the voice of Source Energy (God) who is loving, caring and giving.
      1. This voice is not a cultural or religious voice that is interested in controlling the person or establishing rigid patterns.
      2. In Christianity, Jesus simplified the instructions
        1. Be united with God and allow yourself and God to work together synergistically … flow as one
        2. Love (care for) your neighbor as you love and care for yourself. i.e. yourself being the top priority and then you love others as you love yourself

.
The release of the negative energies is essential in order to create space for her positive energies to manifest and to allow her the encouragement to use her talents and gifts.
It was important for Ruth to realize that she is not to blame for the actions of the predator. Important to release the pain of not being cared for, not being asked why is she refusing to eat, not protecting her from the predator

Once this happens taking risks in expressing yourself and following your path become easier. Roadblocks or distractions can then shrink in significance and more easily be deflected and moved past.

Ruth left the group feeling much better than we she came in. Ruth is looking forward to the next group meeting.

A special thanks to Ruth for allowing us to write up and share her story on the blog

Come join us in the "Path to Healing Support Group" we meet on Saturdays, from 1:15 to 2:45  see earlier blog post for details.
