Part 1 main issues of anxiety

Part 2 ways to deal with anxiety  -

=======================

Anxiety like many words can have multiple meanings and implications.

Anxiety Could be Defined as

looking forward to something … something positive (anticipation … relatively happy)

Or

Could be defined as fear, heightened negative emotion.  In this state. It  can easily become an obstacle

It seems that in  today’s context with so many chaotic things occurring… with so much lack of leadership in the world… anxiety tends too lean toward the feeling of fear.

Perhaps society’s lack of leadership and guidance is due to lack of leadership in the family or early experiences of a person.

Pregnancy ~ Birth

Pregnancy and delivery of a child can be a marvelous event. It is the beginning of an investment in a new life.

Post birth, Creating/shaping a child requires a minimum of fifteen to twenty years of being a mentor for the child. An example of behavior … a guide to help the child think or explore different facets of life.

A question arises: In society, Is the act of pregnancy, the only major event for the woman who carries the child within and for the man who facilitated the pregnancy?

It seems that to move anxiety toward happy anticipation, having a child requires some preparation.

Carrying the child and delivering the child has many experiences awaiting the parental couple. The initial nine months might seem to be challenging but the next fifteen to twenty years  is also very challenging

Mother ~ Father Team

Their is also a need for a father. The role of the father is more than supplying the seed to impregnate the woman.

Are the woman and the man prepared

To guide the child? This requires they become a team to help a child find their passion and their purpose .

Whether the couple is functioning as a team or not their behavior becomes a model for the child.

Move from Conscious to Unconscious

A model over the first 6 to 15 years of a persons existence becomes a way of dealing with life. It usually causes behavior to become automatic. The young child does not have the experience to fully integrate their powerful intellectual and emotional energies. The childhood experience is done without fully using the  thinking or emotional energies on the part of the child. In other words it moves to the less conscious area of our thoughts and feelings.

Without the mentoring, a child could learn from less positive mentors, criminal organizations, drug dealers etc.. The child could get lost in the maze of their own mind. Anxiety could be a way of locking in negative mentors and life styles.

Anxiety  can lead to A young person becoming unsure of their value and talents.

A young persons thinking can construct a meaning to what they experience in a distorted way. They can begin to visualize whatever is problematic … perhaps conflicts within the parental team, as caused by themselves.

The view of the problem as coming from the young person, introduces much distortion, much negative framing of the self for the young person.

The person might imitate how the mother and father (whether present or not) as the model of what are people worth; of how to relate to other people, especially in an intimate relationship.

Adolescence (10-19)

These distortions are magnified when the young person goes through adolescence. Adolescence is a period of turmoil, the young person begins to define their own personality. They may define themselves from a negative perspective dependent on what the parental team taught them.

They may not realize they are trying to prepare or build an adult lifestyle on a shaky foundation.

The distortions or shaky foundation seems to magnify the anxiety or fear of being wrong, being defective or the potential for failure.
