A client said "Not everyone can be a therapist ....>"

Have you noticed there are a lot of places on the internet offering training to be some kind of fully credentialed therapist . Back in the day, mental health or addiction treatment centers were offered as part of a hospital system of care,

So what was my client talking about.

She continued “… the things that you offered in the first two sessions resonated with my own inner voice. Your comments helped to reinforce my own essence. It Helped to correct the misinformation that was given to me by my family and school system. It helped me better visualize the positive qualities that I have."

So what makes a good therapist?

Before specialized schooling or training, a person needs to embrace their own life …dating … career wise …. finding their purpose. The person must be open to learn from their own mistakes, their own pain. The person must embrace living their life beyond being simply a therapist.

Part of this life response may mean putting aside the guide lines that society teaches us. Overcoming further obstacles can be discovered in Napoleon Hills book, "Outwitting the devil."

It means being aware of the dichotomy of negative and positive energy. It means offering reflections of positive choices for the client.
