- Before falling asleep - " Find things in your immediate vicinity - such as your bed, your bed linens, and your pillow - to direct your appreciation toward."

- When you awake think of things to appreciate for at least 5 minutes.
- "Refresh yourself by bathing and eating."

- Then open your eyes, and sit for five or ten minutes writing a list of things you appreciate about your life."

Although many things in the news and in life are primed to agitate us and confuse us - I believe this simple exercise, that we all can do, will greatly enhance our daily experience. It will help us find Joy in our activities throughout the day.
