The Tree and Me
Photos and Poem ©Ralph M. Ferraro 2012
A tall majestic
image from afar.
Blending with other
trees
Reflected in the
pond.
A sturdy base with
many branches
A strong base with
many paths
A bark with many
ripples
Whether base and branches or bark with ripples
What do you see
What do you choose
to see
Do you stay with
the base
Do you try the
branches or the ripples
Swirling ideas in
my head
Some reflect the
ripples from the past
Past, patterns, old
paradigms
Branches, extend
beyond
Do I dare
Do I follow the branches
and expand
Oh the joy, from
the contrast
The past is what it
was
Many gems and many
obstacles intermixed
Defensive paths in
the past
Limiting in the
now, the past
Which branch do I
follow
Vibrating Vortex upward to the sky
Upward with my gems and talents
Defensive not
Expansive branch, talents
radiating
The journey - Joy
not work
Oh the beauty of
the Tree
Oh the joy of
expanding life
