The short encounter – an Imbalance
Have you ever found yourself in a
situation in which you are attracted to a person or an experience?
You joyfully jump in …. You put yourself “all in” to the new
adventure.
As the adventure continues,
you
find that you are becoming more unbalanced.
The adventure almost seems a cruel
misadventure.
You experience pain. You experience frustration.
You feel as if
you are facing a wall.
The relationship or the event becomes unipolar.
It is
not the bidirectional flow of energy that you had hoped for … that will enable
you to grow and prosper on your journey
as you proceed to unveil your mission.
Many
seem to continue on this torturous path hoping that
“shit will happen” … hoping,
with a mistaken wish, that the other person or the event will change.
Yes, Shit will
happen …
You will become more and more unbalanced and unhappy.
Abraham-Hicks shared on their blog
this AM, an interesting perspective.
“… If things are going well for
you,
then focusing on upon what is
happening now will cause the well-being to continue,
but
if there are things happening now
that are not pleasing.
You must find a way of taking your
attention away from the unwanted things.
You have the ability to quickly
change your patters of thought
And eventually … your life
experience.”[i]
It is my experience that growth can happen
even when the circumstances that facilitated the growth are a temporary
distraction. In facilitating the experience for growth,
I found that the person
or event had created a contrast.
The
contrast set up by that short-lived event helped me clarify my mission, my path.
The contrast places me at a pivot point.
This pivot point provides both a
opportunity to learn something about myself and to illuminate my path,
and the
mission that is mine.
So what seems tragic is not. The movement to
balance myself, i.e. to be full of joy and excitement in sharing my mission,
calls for action.
The First action, is moving away from the
imbalanced relationship or event without judging either. If the imbalance is a
person, God or Source Energy will provide what that person needs for themselves .. likely without you but as they say “the
world continues to spin. “
The Second action is to be open, to be
vulnerable, to search for people and experiences that will help you to be the creative artist that you are….
Joyfully so.
