Winter ~ Colors in Motion
Photograh copyrighted by Ralph M. Ferraro, 2011
What do these colors make you feel?
Any thoughts about these colors?
Would you like to know how this photo was created?
I would love to know how this photo was created. Interesting that you use a lot of red to portray winter. To me, it conveys escape--moving forward, but struggling to break a karmic pattern. This type of photo strikes me as very helpful...to assist people in visualizing where they are in their spiritual path. It would be fantastic to have a photo album of one's spiritual journey!
Hi Shelly, Thanks for Commenting on the photo. The Red presented itself. I am amused & fascinated by bright full colors, textures and patterns. My son & I were wandering around the streets of Manhattan around Christmas time, so I decided to play with light. The photo was taken by using a low ISO (chip speed), an aperature of approx f8, and a slow shutter speed. While the shutter is open I moved the camera in swirls. Your interpretations of the colors are interesting. I do agree with you that abstract colors, like much art, connects with the spiritual dimension and reflects where they are in their spiritual path. The swirling colors are nonverbal, nonconceptual constructs, they are experiential. The experience of nonverbal sounds, colors, motion connect a person with emotional energy. Emotional Energy is a combo of both Intellectual energy (noncognitive construct, more evaluative) and emotional energy. This combined emotional energy is a direct link or connection to Source Energy or God, to each other and to everything that exists. Your friend, Ralph Ferraro
